MorningStar at Observatory Park has Opened its Doors to Residents
An inaugural reception was held on Thursday, May 25, 2023 for 140 families, businesses and healthcare professionals who came together to celebrate the opening of MorningStar at Observatory Park. The event was attended by MorningStar Senior Living Founder/CEO, Ken Jaeger, who did the ribbon cutting honors along with Observatory Park’s Senior Executive Director, Cheryl Davis and the community’s first depositor. The co-developer, Confluent Senior Living were also represented as were the firms of Hord Coplan Macht, the architect; Shaw Construction, the general contractor; and Thoma-Holec Design the interior designer; as well as many of our MorningStar residents and families.
The property was developed under the “Whole Health Standard,” a unique, holistic approach to embracing the latest in healthy building technologies; and enhancing residents’ physical and mental wellness, safety, comfort and quality of life. Each assisted living resident’s specific needs are addressed with a full complement of senior care services including 24-hour staffing and access to licensed nurses.
The five-story, urban infill community offers 81 assisted living and memory care suites in a variety of floor plans and configurations ranging from 400 to 959 square feet as well as 47 underground parking spaces. Residents have a choice of studios, and one- and two-bedrooms suites equipped with large handicap-accessible bathrooms and feature high-end finishes and sweeping views from oversized windows.
Our prime location in Denver’s historic Observatory Park neighborhood offers easy access to area freeways and the downtown area. Ken Jaeger explains, “The Observatory Park property is in the heart of one of Denver’s most central, tight-knit and vibrant neighborhoods where residents will benefit from convenient access to local parks, golf courses, the University of Denver, shopping and dining, medical centers, Washington Park, Platt Park, Cherry Hills, Cherry Creek and more.” He adds, “The project offers an incomparable opportunity for local residents who wish to age in place or draw closer to family, to remain tied to the fabric of their community.”
